The new round of the Child Rehabilitation Programme in Cyprus is now open

This Programme continues to support families in need by providing financial assistance for essential rehabilitation services

The new round of the Zimin Foundation’s Child Rehabilitation Programme is now open. This project in Cyprus is designed to support children with developmental needs by partnering with rehabilitation centres to bridge gaps in state-supported services. The Foundation ensures that financial assistance reaches families who require additional support for their child’s rehabilitation.

By collaborating with centres across the Cyprus the programme helps provide access to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, ABA therapy, and special education. The programme serves as a supplement to state subsidies rather than a replacement. The final decisions on applications will be made by the Cyprus Child Rehabilitation Program Committee. It is a cornerstone of our initiative, formed on the principle that local insight and respect are vital for the effective distribution of aid. The committee is composed of esteemed Cypriot citizens who understand the unique challenges and needs of local communities.

In 2024 altogether the program received 24 applications and granted aid to 18 children. Throughout this year we have worked with four rehabilitation centers from different Cyprus cities: BCI Specialized Centre for ABA in Nicosia; Building Blocks Pediatric Therapy Centre in Limassol; Berta Development and Rehabilitation Centre in Limassol; New Hope Private Special School in Nicosia. Under the program, these centers provide children with sufficient hours of such services as physiotherapy, ABA therapy, speech and ergo (occupational) therapies, and special education.
